Residential Restoration Contractor (RRC) license in Oregon

Lets a business do cleanup, water removal, debris removal and board-up work after a disaster on homes and small commercial structures.

Restoration work follows a sudden event such as a fire, flood, earthquake or crime. It covers nonroutine cleaning, water removal, inventory of personal property, debris removal that doesn't involve demolition, and boarding up openings.

It stops short of rebuilding. Repairing or replacing parts of the structure and demolishing any of it are outside this endorsement, and the holder can't do other contractor work.

After a loss, check who will handle the repairs before you sign anything. That job takes a different contractor or a different endorsement. The state minimums are a $15,000 bond and $100,000 per occurrence in liability insurance.
