This license is in a person's name, or we couldn't tell it belongs to a business, so we show only the city and ZIP code.

The Responsible Managing Individual (RMI) is the owner or employee on the license who has management or supervisory authority over the business's construction work and meets CCB's requirements. That person may not be the one running your job, so ask who will be.

Oregon sets the CCB bond by endorsement, from $15,000 to $80,000. It's limited protection: if mediation fails, collecting from it takes a court judgment or arbitration award, and one bond limit can be shared by every complaint against the contractor. Oregon sets minimum liability coverage by endorsement, from $100,000 per occurrence to $2 million aggregate. It's for property damage and bodily injury, not contract disputes or poor workmanship.

Workers' compensation

Status in CCB file
Nonexempt

Nonexempt generally means the business hires or leases workers, and CCB says those businesses need workers' comp. Our data doesn't name a carrier, so search the business in the Oregon Workers' Compensation Division's Proof of Coverage Search or ask for a certificate of insurance.
